If you’re curious about what’s happening in Taiwan’s craft scene, here’s a name worth paying attention to. Taiwan Head Brewery built its reputation on a simple, almost poetic idea: beer that follows the rhythm of the 24 solar terms. Spring, summer, autumn, winter - each season expressed through ingredients grown on Taiwanese soil. Think citrus peel lifted straight from the farms for “WHITE DEW白露 Citrus Session IPA,” jasmine flowers from Changhua  彰化 for “MAJOR HEAT 大暑 Jasmine IPA,” or green plums anchoring their 春分 SPRING EQUINOX Plum Ale.

It’s the kind of brewing philosophy that has carried them onto international podiums again and again - World Beer Cup, World Beer Awards, European Beer Star, and more than 80 medals collected over the years. More importantly, it’s helped shape a distinct voice for Taiwanese craft beer, one that doesn’t mimic the West but grows out of its own landscape.

This week, the founders are in town, and we’re bringing them to three venues for casual meet-and-greets and behind-the-bar pours.
